A married woman has bitten more than she can chew and her marriage is now on the brinks after a member of her husband’s family caught her red handed with her husband’s friend in one of the cheap hotel in town. The woman already has a child for her husband but that is even making the matters worse as it is believed that her husband’s friend might be the father of the child if checks are conducted. Her husband is out of town. The husband’s family, a woman, who caught her, waited for she and the man to enter their hotel room, spend a few minutes, before storming the room. She went inside and caught them in the act…

Court Sentences Husband Accused Of Killing Banker Wife To Death By Hanging

Ayo Arowolo, an unemployed undergraduate accused of killing his banker wife on June 24th 2011 has been sentenced to death by a Lagos High Court, Ikeja. 

 

Presiding Judge, Lateefat Okunnu found Arowolo guilty of one-count charge of murder and ruled that he should be sent to the gallows.

He was alleged to have stabbed Titilayo, then an employee of Skye Bank Plc at their residence, No. 8, Akindeinde Street, Isolo, Lagos.

The judge, Mrs. Okunnu relied on testimonies and evidences of fifteen witnesses including family members of the deceased, investigating police officers, photographers and Chief pathologist of Lagos State to arrive at her judgment.

“The prosecution has proved its case beyond reasonable doubt. I hereby found you guilty for the offence of murder. You are hereby sentenced to death by hanging”, the judge declared.

Immediately the verdict was pronounced on him, Arowolo, who broke down in the dock clutching to the Holy Bible, shouted many times, “Jesus, why? I did not do it. I cannot die. What would happen to Olamide?”

Olamide is the only product of the two-year marriage between the convict and the deceased.

President Jonathan Modifies Delegates List For National Conference

Exactly a week after releasing the full list of participants for the national conference, President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday made adjustments to the delegates list, by way of “updates, changes and adjustments”.

The modifications, as announced in a statement signed by Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim, are as follows:

Police In Ogun Arrest Man With 18 Human Heads

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a man who was in possession of 18 human heads. The source of the heads was yet to be ascertained.

Policemen in the Ado-Odo Division in Ado–Odo Ota Local Government Area were patrolling Owode Road when they ran into the suspect, whose name was given as Adelani Ayomide.

Upon searching the man’s bag, a total of 18 human skulls were discovered, said the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

“The suspect hails from Ilaro, the headquarters of Yewa South Local Government,” Mr. Adejobi said. He added that the suspect “will be transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Eleweran, Abeokuta for further investigations into the crime.”

Speaking on the gory matter, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Ikemefuna Okoye, promised that the case would be thoroughly investigated and that the suspect, if found culpable, would be made to face the full wrath of the law.

The commissioner also pleaded with the public to always assist the police in maintaining law and order in the state by volunteering useful information. In the specific case of the man arrested with human heads, the commissioner remarked that the police would need information that would lead to the arrest of any persons who may have collaborated with the suspect in harvesting the human heads.

The boat mishap was a horrible experience, says survivor

One of the survivors of the FESTAC boat mishap, Daniel Peters, last night relived his experience to The Nation, describing it as a horrible experience.

He narrated how he battled for his life underwater, amidst the terrible smell and trampling on him by other victims.

He said in a phone interview: “I just thank God for my life, the situation was not funny. We were more than 24 on the boat. The load was just excessive. It was the last boat for the day and everyone rushed in.

“I was returning from work when it happened. I work Swiss Bar and Lounge at Raji Rasak, FESTAC. As I was in the boat, suddenly, water started entering into the boat. At first it was like a joke but before we knew what was happening, the boat capsized. That was how we all fell under the water.

“It was battle for survival. I know how to swim but other people were pressing me under water. So, I was gradually losing strength. But when it occurred to me that I was going to die if I did not act fast, I mustered energy and swam with my last strength. That was how the divers saw me and they came to my rescue.

“We were seven in all that were rescued alive. Five men and two women, although the two women were not brought to the hospital with us. I do not know where they are or what happened to them. It was five of us, men, that were discharged from the hospital yesterday.”

Boy shows his father photos of his mother in bed with another man

A boy was furious when he discovered that his mother was having an affair with another man.

The boy of Zimbabwe, allegedly found nude photos of his mother with another man on her cell phone.
The boy then showed the photos to his father, Dumisani Ndebele. After seeing the photos, Ndebele became furious, saying that his wife had refused him sex for almost a year.
The man attacked his wife at their home in Pumula Bulawayo. He bit her on the cheeks and ripped a piece of her cheek out after he discovered the series of nude photos of her with another man having sex.
Keziya Ndebele denied the allegations that she was cheating on her husband. Instead, she said that her husband went crazy after he was served with divorce papers to end their 18 year marriage.
The woman, who appeared in front of judge Marylene Mtshina with bandages on her face, was granted an order of protection against her husband.

Police rescue Jonathan’s cousin

Police have rescued President Jonathan’s cousin, Chief Nengote Nitabai from his abductors.

Bayelsa Commissioner of Police, Hilary Okpara confirmed that the patriarch has regained his freedom.

A gun-wielding 10-man gang seized him on Sunday, February 23 when they sneaked into his hometown in Ogbia Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.

The kidnappers had rejected a N30m ransom offered by the family to secure the victim’s release describing the money as “too small.”

Chief Nitabai said to be about 70 years old is a compound chief in Jonathan’s Ebele family.
