Today makes it exactly one year that the whole nation was throne into
mourning when a 163 passenger (including crew members) Dana air
aircraft crashed in Iju Ishaga area of Lagos. The whole 163 persons on
board died and about 10 others on ground where the plane landed also
lost their lives.
To mark the one year remembrance of the crash, the Federal Government
said it would unveil a cenotaph in their memory on Monday (today).
FG also instituted an annual aviation safety programme which will be observed from June 3, 2013, and will be done every year in honour of the victims. The Lagos state government held a memorial service for the victims today at the Iju Ishaga memorial Arcade... See photos Here
