Man Sued His Wife For Being Ugly…And Won!

Jian Feng from China took his wife to court accusing her of being too ugly. Why did he marry her in the first place then, one might wonder. The things is, Jian’s wife was a stunning beauty when the two tied the knot. 

 

She later became pregnant and gave birth to a baby girl and that’s when all the trouble began. The child looked nothing like the parents and was even described as ‘incredibly ugly’ by its own father. He first accused his wife of cheating since the only possible explanation, that seemed obvious at the time, was that he was not the biological father of this baby as it had not taken after neither him, nor the pretty mother.

 

Jian tortured his wife for months, trying to make her confess she had been unfaithful. She finally caved and spilled the truth but it had nothing to do with adultery : when she was younger, Jian’s wife looked totally different and had spent more than $100,000 on plastic surgeries meant to change the way she looked. But, as you have probably figured out by now, she never shared that information with her husband.

As it is visible from the photos, the woman’s appearance was really transformed thanks to the operations so Jian was really shocked when he discovered the ‘treachery’. It wasn’t enough for him to divorce his wife but he also took her to court claiming that he had been tricked by her ‘phony’ beauty. Amazingly, the court judged in his favor granting him a $120,000 settlement payout. Apparently, ‘not being attractive to a certain standard’ is considered a felony by some people.
