The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party worsened on Sunday as 21 of its 23 governors boycotted the party’s National Reconciliation grand finale in Abuja. Also, Olufamous.com observed that only five deputy governors attended the ceremony.
Also absent were the Senate President, David Mark; his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu; Speaker, House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal and his deputy, Emeka Ihedioha.
Kogi State Governor Capt. Idris Wada, and his Akwa Ibom State counterpart, Chief Godswill Akpabio, who attended the event, came even after the ceremony had started.
The occasion was to round off the tour of members of the National
Working Committee, led by its National Chairman, Dr. Bamanga Tukur, to
all the six geo-political zones. It was also to mark the one-year
anniversary of the coming to office of the Bamanga Tukur-led NWC.
I hear the governors are set to shock President Jonathan and his supporters.
