Pastor E. A Adeboye Pays Condolence Visit To Awolowo's Family

The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Monday paid a condolence visit to the Ikenne home of Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo over the death of his son, Chief Oluwole Awolowo.

The highly revered cleric prayed for the mother of the deceased, Mama H.I.D. Awolowo and the entire family during the short visit.

In his words, “We should give thanks in all things. We all have our appointed times. If the appointed day comes, no one can query God.

“We cannot understand why it happened. We are sad, but we give glory to God. We beseech you Lord that this family shall not witness any form of sorrow again,” he prayed.

He urged Mama to take solace in the fact that God knew best and also prayed that good news would never ceased in the Awolowo’s home.

Late Wole Awolowo passes on last week in a London hospital at the age of 70. His remains will be committed to mother earth on April 19, 2013.
