Emy Osodi works with one of the leading telecom company in Nigeria. He
recounted how he narrowly escaped death in the multiple explosions in
Sabon Gari Motor Park, Kano. He wanted to pay his family a surprised
visit in Lagos having been away for six months. He had boarded the Lagos
bound luxurious bus that evening at the park hoping to arrive in Lagos
the following morning. While seated inside the bus, he noticed his phone
battery was low and decided to go look for where to charge it before
the bus gets filled up.
A few minutes after, he heard a loud noise and another followed almost
immediately. When he turned back, he saw the bus he was seated in a few
minutes ago and other buses and shops around were in flames with people
running helter skelter trampling on the dead and those dying.
